Wait, surely the church preaching the same sermons as each other is good as it ensures that the comrades
brethren all teach the same thing and don't contradict?
Leading to safe environment where nobody questions the established dogma, you'd think they would want everybody to read from the same hymn sheet...
So much for creativity and humour. I used to have a pastor who was about 50 and had a hilarious sense of humour. He was a big fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and often cracked jokes about their rival, Les Canadiens, and tie it in well with his lesson in the sermon. Then he got 'traded' off to some place in Nova Scotia and some dry old bloke replaced him. I never returned afterwards.
