    Nice start :dremel:

Maybe, if it doesn't turn out well with the re-painting of the scratches at the top, you could consider putting the radiator grille on top of the top of the case , and also making a plate that has the same finish as the grille, to put around the slot-load CD, and all other holes, to cover up the scratches...

After getting the PSU sorted I loaded the OS and have been running burn-in tests for the last few days and all is stable :thumb:

So I started with the Watercooling part of the project. I started with plugging the AC Aquero in to test and it booted up fine twice but now seems to be dead :wallbash: I've posted a thread on the AC forum but have had little response. If anyone has any idea's I'd appreciate the help.

    Cheers

Still having problems with the Aquero but decided to fire away with the WC in the mean time.

The following details the Cooler for one of the 6800Ultra's.

The finish on this AC kits is outstanding.

    The untouched card.

Some brightspark in Gainward decided to glue the fan cable to the board. I just cut the cable rather then risk damging the board.

    The Fan removed

    The RAM Sink removed

The GPU Sink removed. Jeez this is turning into a strip show :D

hmm needs a spot of cleaning.

    That should do it.

    Fresh compound applied.

    Thermal probe for the Aquero.

    All finished.

    And now to the CPU.

This is the quality of the finish out of the box. Sorry I have no pictures of lapping it because......I didn't do it :D

Sorry forgot to take a shot of the Thermal probe, you can see it trailing out on the last shot.

A couple of quick shots of everything hooked up. I shall take more detailed shots a little later.

And now to one of the problems.

I bought this HS to replace the stock NB HSF. As you can see it needs a little modification. The pictures don't show it but I had to take a slice off the other corner as well to allow for the other 6800. The problem is even during light load this gets very hot, too hot to touch. AiBooster tells me the system temp was at 50 Degs, I am presuming this is the NB Temp probe. The CPU was at a steady 39/40 Deg at the time. So I have had to stick a small fan in there which has brought me back to the turbine I didn't want.

So I have just ordered a TwinPlex Pro for the NB as well as an Aquadrive Dual for the HDDs. Update as soon as I get those and the Aquero back.

    Cheers

I just followed the link in your sig after you posted in my thread and DAMN! This is a nice project! We have similar tastes in both watercooling and cases. :hip:

You should check out Dutchcedars badass reboxed project on wizd. He fitted a watercooled dual CPU setup into the same case your using. [link ]

    Mod on!

Wow I can't believe I never updated this thread. Well I pretty much finished the project. Just have a little tidying up to do. I also want to add a second fan to the PSU as that is the loudest part of the system now. Will have to wait for summer though.

Anyway here is a few shots. If you want anymore let me know.

That's a really nice finish you've got there on the top, I know mine would be covered in scratches by this point...
And that's a really big long loop, what exactaly is in it?

Lookin really good. One thing you might have done is powdercoated/anodized the interior black to match the rest. Thats what I did to my v1000 and it looks killer.

Great job on the watercooling loop too, it looks nice and clean
