If someone tried to sell me that I would have lauged my arse off, but he has made it work but really why would anyone want to goto a website with icons that goto sites that are trying to sell you something (well most are trying to sell)? maybe I'm missing the point.
Actually, that was done not too far from me. The city of Auburn wanted to build a park in downtown but couldn't figure out how to pay for it, so they sold bricks. Essentially you bought a brick for $100 and your name or business would be carved into the brick. All the bricks were then used to build a retaining wall. Worked out great and they got enough money for the entire park within a year.
Anyone's minimum spend would be waaaaaaaay more than $100. If you think about it, in it's most basic form isn't an ascii character (letter) something like an 8x8 (I know I'm wrong but it's close) pixel block? That's just 1 letter in simple form. No one's going to even look at that. Agreed I wish I'd thought of it first. On the flip side, I try to avoid any page that has so much advertising on it. I'm surfing the interweb for content - not to be advertised to in massive quantities. I'll never even visit his site (and I'm sure many others won't either) so what's the advantage to companies spending their money and advertising with him?
He diddnt do nothing, he just did very little. Besides, if you come up with an idea that millions of gullable people will pay for a slice of, go ahead with it. EDIT: Oh and remember who told you that, for future reference
All the best too him, genius idea . Don't be bitter just cause you didn't think of it . *bow* morgan.
Besides, it's not like he's an already very rich man, he's a student who needs to pay university debts, so I wish him well . Of course, he could have just gone studying here in Belgium, where 1 year of university is maximum €500, all-in.
its really a pretty clever idea. Anybody who knows about this tells their friends because its simply so rediculious. they tell their friends, and so on, and everybody wants to visit it to see how rediculous it is. The more news articles, forum threads etc are written about it, the more he makes...
