http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/6042306.stm Still very early reports, more updated as the story progresses.
Reports just came in that the plane is owned by a New York Yankees' pitcher. Don't know his name but they said that he just recently got his pilot's license.
cory lidle, a pitcher for the new york yankees was apparently the pilot. Hes also dead. Its what iv read on another forum.
Well whoever was in that planes hardly going to be alive are they? Hope this doesn't cause too much crap just because it reminds people of 9/11, wouldn't surprise me though.
Apparently someone I know made a killing with some stock daytrading from this little incident. Capitalism at its best I suppose. Quite a shame though... what a crappy way to go.
I made another topic not realising this one was made already, I just copied my direct reponse: - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15223650/?GT1=8618 My home page is set to msn.com so it popped up and I read it, the story is saddening until you read the last bit, sure it's a precaution but I mean seriously give me a break. Fighter jets were sent up just incase, incase what a small 2 person single engined light plane was going to blow another 100 story office block? I mean **** everyones a potential terrorist these days. Imagine the poor bloke that had his laptop battery blow up. "What were your intentions sir, I'm sorry we're going to have to detain you for now" "For what?" "You know what".
