Does anyone know a good any of making plastic look like steel ? Odd question I know but I've got a steel case that I'm modding I've taken it down to the bare metal on all sides and without the front plastic facade (which I've removed from the case) it reasonable good. I want to use the front by putting it on hinges and using it to stealth all the front. Failing a way of making the plastic look like steel, does anyone know where I can buy a steel front for a full tower that I can use as a door. I know its probably going to involve painting the plastic front silver but I don't think just painting it silver will make it look right. So any othr tips would be greatly appreciated. One other question thats related to the mod but not actually to do wih modding does anyone know where I can souce a few hinges in the shape of a skull ?
You'll have to make a new front from steel/alu, try a reasonable builders merchant. I got a 1m x 2m x 2mm sheet of alu a couple of years ago for about £35 locally. As for the hinges, buy some big plain ones and cut them into the shape you want.
