Playstation 2 > VGA adapter???

    Do these exist? i cba to use the ps2 on my 14inch screen no more so im looking at getting on so i can use my ps2 on my 17inch crt

    Yes they do exist and are available from GAME for around £30 iirc. Only thing is they limit you to 800*640 res.

    what res do they play on a 'normal' tv then?

    The PAL tv standard is 720x576, and I think -H- means 640x480 res?, cos 640x800 would give a weird aspect ratio.

    No it's 800*640 and you get black borders on the screen to make the screen the correct size 720x576 like bmh.01 mentioned.

    You will actually get a better image using the 14" tv if its a pal-> vga conveter you want. Is there a hdtv output cable for the ps2, if so, that would be better (htdv =RGBHV ;)).

    Basically, was thinking of it for my xbox once, read up on a few ps2 forums.

    is there a ps2 equiv to xbox-scene?
