If true, they must have playable demos anything else will serve no purpose.

Blow up Lara Crofts for the new Tomb Raider release...

...is what the booths will be used for.

20/80 = .2? Hmm... someone needs to double-check the summaries, methinks. Last I knew, 20 of 80 booths was 25% of them.

So, I'll go with "smoke and mirrors" till they can prove otherwise. Won't change the fact that I'm not buying one, but Sony in particular has a bad history of overhyping.

Who knows what Sony will do. I would guess it won't be long though. Exciting stuff...

I'll cross my fingers and hope it's for the PS3. I think it's a good guess, really... I mean, even they must realize that if they keep hyping it up and then not showing anything, people are going to lose interest.

Oh, and can't we get blow-ups of someone decent, rather than Angelina Jolie? :D

Sure... If only you can find someone more 'decent'... now that would be a challenge.

Would you like a list? It would start with Cameron Diaz and Carmen Electra... =)

Cameron Diaz? Ugh, maybe if you could solder her mouth shut and dremel her a new face. I'd take Helen Keller over Cameron Diaz.

How about the likes of Heidi Klum, Lisa Faulkner, or Jessica Alba? Keira Knightly anybody?

As far as the PlayStation... I personally believe that the ps2 was better than the xbox, though the xbox boasted more muscle, it was big, heavy, ugly, akward, and really had a crappy lineup. The only thing to change about that that i've seen with the 360 is that at least it's not ugly. I wouldn't call it attractive either though. Microsoft needs to be microsoft and stop trying to be Apple.

As far as the time i've spent with the 360 I'd have to honestly say the PS3 doesn't have much to go up against. I found that the graphics on the 360 were not anything near what "next generation" should be. The launch titles were milky at best (the only decent one being Call of Duty) Project Gotham ignored the big mistake, therefore making it, and sacrificed quality for release date. To be completely honest I walked away from the 360, not just a little, but severely underwhelmed. It's still big and heavy, now instead of ugly it's louder than the tank i'm driving over Nazis with. And don't even get me started on the bundles... that was the biggest gimmick i've ever seen. It's a console, not a PC, stop trying to bridge the gap. I play console gaming to feel like i'm console gaming, if not i'd just buy a controller for my PC and screw the console world altogether.

So as long as Sony just sticks with what works and doesn't get intimidated by the 360 everything should go over exceptionally well. Just release one version of your console, hold a solid launch title selection, keep it simple, and the masses will come in droves. I daresay that *should* Sony not screw this up, a hard thing though that would be, you will be seeing some extra xbox listings appear on eBay.

Now as for them breaking it out this week... possibly, but i'd not bet the farm on it, I also would not go as far as to say B.S. on this one. If 25% of the space is reserved ONLY for playable demos, they could still use a lot of the other tables at their discretion to hype the peripheral aspects of the system. Sony has been at it a long time, I trust they'll not piss this one up.

    No thanks. :)
    Ah, now you're talking.
Aye. Where's the X-Box 360's killer app? When the best game you have on the platform is a port of a PC game...
Awww heck yeah! "Gee, I wonder how we can appeal to both the general market by staying cheap as well as the techie market by seeming to be better than the PS3... I know! Let's have a cheap, crippled option and an expensive, unrestricted version!"
