Hello Bit Tech Universe! The following is the final plan for the Foregasm gaming PC. Case: Lian Li PC-7FN Processor: Pending (will most likely be an Ivy Bridge i5) Mobo: ASUS P8Z77-V LE VGA: ASUS ENGTX560 TI DCII TOP RAM: G-Skill Sniper 8GB RAM CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Boot Drive: OCZ Agility 3 120GB SSD Storage: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB 7200 RPM HDD PSU: OCZ ZT Series 650W The color scheme for this build is going to be red and black. The red will be provided by red 3M Di-Noc carbon fiber film, and I'm ordering some of the black carbon fiber film as well. The red will be present on the external drive bay covers, and possibly in a red LED vandal-resistant switch. Please leave any more ideas for the build, but I will let you know that I don't intend to cut into the case; it's my first case mod, my first home built computer, and it's a Lian Li case!
I really like carbon fiber, and when I found out it is available in red...I plan to get much more involved in case mods, and black and gold is definitely my next color scheme! And by then, I'll have access to powdercoating, a fabrication shop, and a proper paint booth!

as long as we're on the subject of aesthetics, can i get some opinions on using gold to accent the red and black?
Gold leaf, brushed gold, machine turned, or gold mirror? EDIT: I think i'm going to go with the gold leaf. its the goldest.
Why not spray things like fan grills cold then "carbon fibre" the front so that from certain angles you can see the gold on the inside faces of the holes? Also, just so you know, you can edit your previous posts rather than having to make a new post each time. Ofc it's not like it's a problem, just thought I'd let you know incase you didn't already.
there really aren't any fan grills. see? just a filter I was gonna do the front red, and the bay covers gold.
I like the idea of spraying the grills, if its possible. here's the basic idea of what i'm going to be doing. but i'm ordering new fans, which i'm going to spray gold.
thinking about doing the bay covers a matte red or red carbon fiber, and then doing the fans and grills gold. opinions?
