Hi, i'm repairing an old Mac for a friends grandad, the chip that needs replacing is the Scsi controller on the logic board (the mac is an old se/30) the chip is a NCR 609-3400257, i've found it at a coupla places, one wouldn't ship to the UK and one had a minimum order size of $500 Anyway, i'm hoping someone can find this at a place that ships to the uk for me, i cannot find it anywhere, lol Or even better, has anyone got any Mac spares or even a broken se/30 hiding in the cupboard? What are you looking for exactly? It sounds like you mean just the controller chip, which you won't find cheaply anywhere to be honest. Would probably be cheapert to look around ebay for a whole new board. Sorry if I'm being dumb and you mean the board anyway Just noticed you're from Stockport too

It'd probably be cheaper to get a whole other board and switch the chips over unless you can find a chip second hand. Companies will always have minimum orders for things like that unless you're really lucky. Heaton Norris, you?
