I was reading this today and thought what a f*cking kick in the the scrote !! As people know Throbbi was the winner of The Great Satan give away

    http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=220845

So I thought that it would be nice if people was to pledge some money to help him get the prize that he deserved to win in the first place, My self and Carrie will pledge £15 each And I hope other's will give something to help.

He needs £81 to get it so lets help make Throbbi's christmass :thumb:

    It is christmass people :thumb:

Throbbi won the TheGreatSatan's competition for (practically) a full PC. The competition was whoever was having the hardest time at them moment won the PC. He's having a horrendous time, and is practically skint.

However, the two live in different countries, so Throbbi has to pay tons of taxes, tariffs, etc. He's struggling to pay for the import duties and VAT, so Teel and others are planning to contribute some money to this fee.

At least, that's how I think it goes.

That is quite correct and I'm a little in shock and awe at Teezlebub and Carrie taking it upon themselves to do this. I'm quite simply humbled.

I was resigned to waiting for a while in order to gather the funds to pay the duty but this would allow me to retrieve them much earlier and perhaps in time to have some christmas presents.

I really don't know what else to say expect thank you to them, this was proposed completely without my knowledge and the first i knew of it was a few minutes before when i got a PM from Teezle requesting bank details lol.

There should be no import duty and VAT on gifts --if TheGreatSatan clearly indicated that this is what the parcel contains. Also, it is used goods.

I'd say contest it with HM Customs.

I've looked through it all and there's still duty on gifts over a certain amount and there's no disputing the amount as the Customs office has so kindly opened the package to have a look.

So I make the total so far £72.35 + whatever Virus44 is throwing into the mix. I'll make up the difference to bring the total to the £81.
