Modding Plexiglass side-panel for a Cosmos II

Hi,

What I'd love to be able to put together is a left-side panel made completely from plexi-glass. A big undertaking no doubt particularly for a newcomer to all of this but can anyone on here advise what thickness of plexi-glass should be used and how difficult it is to shape the plexi-glass to match an original CM II left-side panel as closely as possible. I'd found a YouTube video of an Australian that had successfully made one of these and his work looks impressive but at a guess he's fully up to speed with case modding in general.

Can anyone recommend any reputable plexi-glass re-sellers please?

Any suggestions would be appreciated on how to go about this mod.
