So i have an almost-reference GTX275 in my rig, and someone will be handing his down to me in a while so i can go SLi.

As i found out there is no full cover block in existance that would tolerate ASUS's ******** design, so i've been looking at the MCW60 block. Except now i need a pair of them.

Obviously these are not designed for neat SLi plumbing so i'm facing a bunch of problems here.
For starters i'm going to use some extenders to get the fittings out to the side of the card. Now for connecting the two cards together, if i want them to be after eachother in the loop i can either do a ~20cm hook so it doesn't kink, or, i can try to use 90 degrees compression fittings. Obviously a vertical connection is out of the question, so i was thinking about going diagonal, like so:

    O O---

The question is, height-wise, would i be able to squeeze 2 90 degrees compression fittings in there diagonally if the cards are right next to eachother?

I realize that i probably won't be able to find this out untill i have all the parts at hand and assembled, but i'm throwing it out there anyways for the sake of discussion.

In every case it mostly depend on what type of cooling are you going to use on the memory and mosfets. With straight fittings MCW60 would be limited to 5/8" OD tubing (mainly because of RAM heatsinks). You can't use two 90° fittings directly as these are to short to go over the edge of the graphic's mainboard, so you might have to use some tubing anyway. With straight or 45° fittings, some flexible tubing and 2 like these (or similar) you should be fine. It's definitely not the best looking or performing solution, but at least it doesn't cost a fortune and is relatively easy to obtain.

I'll be using the Swiftech GTX275 heatsink on both cards, and i'm not afraid to grind down some fins to make room.
As i said i would be using extenders to get the connectors out to the edge of the card.

I'm not very optimistic about being able to fit that 90* tube connector between the 45* compression fittings, but that's definitely something to consider. Thanks mate

Are the cards just two slots apart?

You could try using one of these:

It's not cheap, but they are very flexible, and will get you out of all kinds of weird situations.

Another way out would be to open the MCW-60 up and rotate the plastic cover with the fittings 90 degrees, so you can route the hoses to the side. There are numerous ways you can solve your problem that way.

Distance between 2 cards should not exceed 40mm what makes about 48mm diagonally and gives less than 24mm for one fitting.
With 2 straight and stiff extenders, the answer is: YES if you gonna use 3/8" OD - 90° compression fittings:

otherwise: NO as bigger fittings need more space.
That,s why I mentioned before 45° fittings, not to make a huge 270° loop, but to use with some tubing or 45° extensions (what supposed to be obvious, but it wasn't... unfortunately) just to make the distance a bit bigger.
