ok, completely wrong section. this should be in modding.

to clarify, this section is for mod guides ONLY, so if you did a pocket pc mod you could make a post in here telling people how to do it as well, but not asking for help on how to do it.

This doesn't necessarily need to be modded - as s29feb pointed out, you can easily do it like that. If you want to strip the LCD and maybe mount it in your case or something, that's going to require a fairly great amount of work (read: laptop screen)

    Great !

That works nicely but I think that it's not as fast as it could be with a modded PSOne LCD.

Refresh is quite laggy (tested with x50v in 300x400 pixels). This means : if you plan viewing movies or animations, that won't do the trick.

In the other hand, simply displaying things like widgets will be ok as they usually don't need 25fps refresh.

    Have fun !

another idea could be to use samurize.

If you pda has a wireless connection or wired for that matter, you can run a Samurize Server on the PC, and then the Samurize Client on the PDA and have wireless stats!

Does this only work with Pocket PC's or is there an alternative you can use for palm devices. Cheers.

There is a Palm alternative called "Palmorb" (Google). It's a free program that emulates a small Matrix Orbital LCD. Nowhere near as versatile, but still something to play with. I just now got mine solidly working with an old Sony Clie after about a year of fiddling with it. I may have to pick up a PPC one day to do this better alternative.
