so i'm building a computer, right?
I have an ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium/WiFiAP Motherboard (aka. nForce 590).

    My question is this:
Is it pointless to buy the Corsair 2GB PC2-8500 DDR DIMM Memory Kit for 400 bucks?

and i dont want personal opinion here folks. what i want to know is if this mobo will utilize the 1066MHz memory or if i should stick with what it calls for, 800???

please help! this computer is dying to be built!
    thanks a bunch...

Waste unless you omfg overclock. You should be fine with ddr2 533 if you do not overclock. I'd get some 667 or 800 if you are planning on though

You won't even get anywhere near a good overclock on that board anyway.

Yea the board is a waste of money. Buy an evga 680i. That would be a monster if u wanna overclock and go SLi

Hey, DOTA, read the question first - he's already got the board.
I'd say go for some 800 memory.
