so 60% think there will be another terrorist attack? even i think it's highly plausible, but not neccessarily on the scale of 9/11 (more likely car/truck bombs)
25% for jesus returning, which is cool. i'd like to talk to him (or her... you never know) whenever they get here.

46% of all statistics are made up on the spot

I really hope US bookmakers base their odds on this survey. I'd put rather a lot against the second coming of Christ happening this year. :p

WHat's interesting about that is that it is from the same survey. Ergo, people think we are likely to expierience another terrorist attack in 2007, but that it will be a good year anyway. Granted it's a tenious link, but that seems a bit perverse to me. :eyebrow:

I think this poll is dubious, at best. 25% anticipate the second coming of Jesus Christ? Go on, pull the other one.

I know that we have our fair share of Christian fundamentalists, but I refuse to believe that a full 1/4 of the people polled actually said that.

Personally, that statistic alone makes me wonder if the questions were posed to elicit specific answers. Either that or the sample was limited to a very fundamentalist area. Either way, the deck was rigged and the pollsters got the full house they were looking for.

As is always pointed out - There's lies, damned lies and statistics.

    1000 people across america?

They poll more people for hair products over here.
