Just thought I'd post a link that may be useful if you are looking for parts to go along with what could be a very cool looking project. http://www.allelectronics.com/cgi-b...22A,_12_6A,_-12V_.3A,_5V_1.5A,_3.3V_12A_.html Not sure if shipping will offset that price, but I thought it might be helpful to you.
Not sure if it's the same model, but i have one of these Delta PSUs just in front of me. Is nice, and quiter, but with only 180w maybe has some troubles with full ATX systems. Is usually enclosed in PIV Compaq EVO 310 or 330 (Micro ATX PIV desktop board, mostly Celeron at 2 or 2.4ghz). I tested it with an Epia board also and is OK.
The tube could be made in to a case if you stuck a mirco atx mobo and maby a small PSU and a slim DVD drive i would make an awsom mod (also i has an amp in side so you could convert it into a sub as well for the audio which would be really kewl)
Absolutely. Paint the middle bit a nice bright green (or replace it with green/clear plexi), etch/paint a radiation warning symbol on there, and presto, the nuclear PC is born! Now I want to find myself one of those...
Any progress in the design of the WMD copy, I hope you make it ill be a good alteration to the other design and the other WMD copy but it looks different in its own right... different yet original...
Looks super expensive for what you get. I cannot expect that a Subwoofer goes for less than $100. I was thinking along the lines of sonotube and a 2 pack of fans, gets you the end caps, and super airflow if you do a push-pull config.
Does anyone on here own one of these or did anyone buy one after seeing this? I'd like to seem real pictures of it and what it's potential is. -aaron
