Other Popper fastenings

    Anyone got any idea how to make popper fastenings easier to put together?

    Basically I've bought some Airsoft clothing that uses poppers for fastening and they are hellishly hard to snap together because they are brand new. I would put some brute force (read: a hammer) into it but I don't want to damage anything.

    Any ideas would be good.

    A bit of washing-up liquid might help lubricate them?
