Basically, Summer has arrived, and Days down on the beach it is. So im wanting to mod a Backpack to fit some Speakers into it, pump some tunes while relaxing in the sun.

Got a few Candidate Backpacks, dont want to do it on my new one, but got think 5 Backpacks i could perform it on.

Power will obviously have to be battery, and input via 3.5mm.

Anyone know some Good Portable speakers? Under £10 would be great, need to be tough too.

Then i wanna wire some Rechargable Batteries into a series to give me a longer battery life.

Then place them into the Backpack so they can be heard clearly (Possibly cutout and add mesh)

    Then ROCK

    Help appreciated :D

Did this a while ago with some smallish speakers which were powered by 4*AA's.
I had a mesh pockets on the side of my bag, and simply placed the speakers in there. (Cut holes in the side of my bag for cable management)

    Good luck.

I remember Tescos having a mini speaker thingy called Altec iM207 Orbit portable speaker, it looks like a mini sub, cheap unsure what its like, but its with in your budget and easy to mod i bet.

I remember seeing something on The Gadget Show about the Altec Lansing iMT237 Orbit, the only thing is that it's £23 at the cheapest (although the sound quality is amazing)

To save budget you could go charity shopping and get a second hand backpack (I got a Targus laptop backpack for £6, I've used it for 3 years and it's still top condition)

Failing that, the Sony TRS-7's are pretty good, and only cost £9.35 off Lambda-Tek

EDIT: Just read Burnout's post, it's pretty much the same speaker, so I'd go for that :thumb:

I Have 5 or 6 Backpacks all good to use, Mum decides i need a new Backpack each school year, so got a pile of them :p

Sony TRS-7's seem good for a cheap price, but then the Altec Lansings are supposed to be really good, and im pretty picky on Audio Quality :p

Cash is gonna be the main problem.

    Ghettoblaster Link is broke.

I noticed the double http, but I got sidetracked by the project itself and forgot to mention it :worried:

There's another one to add to the list of projects...
