You should complete the single player first (which is around 8 hours long), as the co-op references some of the occurrences in the single player and assumes you know how to use the basic game mechanics like the paint etc.
I can't play it. Not because I'm not at home, because I am. But don't worry about it, I appear to be the only person with the error: Incomplete Installation of Portal 2 (55) Even though it was pre-loaded, updated, uncompressed and then I tried to launch it. ****ing sucks to be me right now
Had a quick play before I left for work, loving it so far, but have now left my son playing it.... he's only 4 but he managed to complete the Portal 1 without too many problems!
No spoilers from me but let me say one thing. PORTAL 2 IS FRIKKING AWESOME Seriously. It's fantastic. Valve, you guys are awesome.
Did that. Came back fine. Reinstalled Steam. Deleted clientregistry.blob and steam.dll Tried a PC reboot. Now I've deleted Portal 2 game files, rebooted PC, reinstalling P2 now. 10% in 10 mintutes isn't too bad I guess ...
Played it for 30 minutes or so before I set off to work; I cannot wait to get home and play it so me more!
Haha, better than me, I've not even completed the first, although reading this thread makes me feel as though I should try a little harder.
Some of the later challenges are very confusing, this is a far harder game than the original, which is more or less a good thing. I knew I was getting a bit too refined at the first when I was going from start to finish in under an hour. Anyway: Verdicts on the Single player, and did anyone else find the supposedly alternate ending?
Good news everyone! I'm not sure that this is the right place to post this, but I think I've hit on something important regarding Portal the Second. As probably everybody around here knows there has been a lot of speculation that in the Portal 2 ARG there might be some hidden hints at the announcement of Episode 3. I decided to do my part and did some research on my own. So, I ran this image of the GlaDOS@home website trough my Photoshop Cheesecake Suite 5 on 'Analyse' mode and discovered something. Please look carefully and you might just see it. Now, for the people that can't see it, I've done some extra filters on a small section of the picture. First 'Quality Zoom', then 'Ameliorate' and 'Dynamic Face Recognition'. You can see the result here: It looks like a face I think. Now, there have been a lot of rumours about the face of G-man being hidden on the G@h page, but this clearly isn't his face. Do you recognise this person? Please contact me, or any other investigator ASAP, this might just be the breaktrough we need to solve the puzzle and discover whether the Third Episode is finally upon us. Thanks for your attention.
Blasphemy! The image is that of our saviour, Relix. His appearance on the glados@home website must foretell the second coming of Relix, and that he'll be bringing HL:Ep 3 with him! Hallelujah!
I'm glad the little ARG brought my attention to Amnesia. Funniest gameplay video ever I'm so gonna buy it at some stage.
