I admit that I was disappointed when I found out Merchant was voicing. I found it hard to get sucked into the game at first because I know his voice and who he is so well that I was just constantly thinking Steve rather than the character. However I thought he did a really good job and after my initial scepticism I really enjoyed it.

I signed up on the forum just to give this opinion, being a long term Valve fanatic, I've bought and played every single game they've released, but the claim of Consolification against Valve from Portal 2 is a joke. Valve hate coding for the Xbox, they said so themselves, thats why they charge it for updates, because it's a bugger to code for. That's also probably why they charged £50 for it. Dumbing down of Portal 2 is rediculous, I found some chambers menacing to solve, but granted some were easy to solve, others were next to impossible!

How people can claim that it was consolified was a joke, I found now error with it what so ever, after completing SP yesterday I felt I had achieved something, apart from alot of achievements.

    Greetings!

    Finished co-op.
    Absolutely amazing game! :D

    co-op GLaDOS quotes:
Humans! so many Humans, so many test subjects!

    and another quote:
‎"Test subjects' number 1 request: 'less deadly tests.', now do they know for sure the test is deadly if they haven't gone through the test? "

The only person i can think iof who might have been better suited is Bill Bailey.

I've been waiting for someone to be negative about the game just so i can use a Cave Johnson line in response but no one has :(

Maybe you should marry being negative about the game if you like it so much!

"You know who I am? I'm the guy who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons!"

I beat it in one sitting. Great game...

The whole Cave Johnson sequence is utterly hilarious.

"The lab boys just informed me that I should not have mentioned the control group, theyre telling me I outta stop making these prerecorded messages, that gave me an idea. Make more prerecorded messages, I pay the bills here and I can talk about the control group all damn day!

    re-playing co-op with SMC. :D

hope i wasn't ruining your experience. i tend to forget things pretty fast, so most of the puzzles should still need figuring out.

Heh no worries, it's better like that anyway, it would be way more boring if you knew how to solve all of them and told me exactly what to do :)

Must say the co-op is awesome so far, the puzzles seem far more challenging than the ones in the single player because you need to think with the ability to use 4 portals instead of 2. I was getting pretty damn confused when there were bridges going all over the place at some points

Just finished the single player. Steam has me logged at 8 hours. Probably one of the best games I have played.

Difficulty was just right as the most time I spent scratching my head was half hour.

Argh! PSN is down so I can't link my copy to steam yet and play properly on me PC!

I got the PS3 version as you get the steam version for free, and I thought that split screen for the co-op could be a lot of fun!

But currently it's just annoying! :wallbash:

just finished it, singleplayer and TWICE co-op!

simply awesome! cannot believe Valve managed to make the final "boss fight" true to original while innovative and new.

now bask in my awesome achievement list:
    http://steamcommunity.com/id/wyx087/stats/Portal2?tab=achievements
apart from 1 co-op achievement, it's all there. (thanks smc)
now just need 1 replay of singleplayer to get the rest :D

When i found out what "Pit Boss" is, i laughed so hard. "Ship Overboard" and "Door Prize" are interesting too.

Just finished last night, took at total of 5 hours. Whilst it was totally awesome, I do think that's a little short for my £26.

Is it worth playing co-op with the matchmaking or waiting until one of my friends is available?

5 hours... another speedrunner. Do listen for the dialogs, go for ratmans chambers, go for hidden places, do the achievements. And it's wont be "5 hours".

You pretty much skipped half of the fun.

If you feel you are unfit for the future please return to your primitive tribe and send back someone more qualified for testing.
