    Free on all platforms? Thought Ms wouldn't allow that on the 360.

    I was wondering about that too, but when you think about it if it's free on the PS3 and not on the 360 then that could be seen as a big advantage for the PS3, whereas L4D2 was only released on the 360 so MS could get away with charging for the DLC as it wasn't available free on a rival platform

    let the wait begin.

    although SDK for community to release something won't hurt, Portal Prelude mod is bloody difficult!

    From what I heard, MS allowed them to have "one free 'update'" and after that they had to pay/charge users to D/L it... Makes no sense to me really, if users are paying a yearly fee why shouldn't they be allowed free DLC? :p

    Anyway... Back to all the free mods 'n' stuff on PC ;)

    So I enjoyed the game but thought there were also some down sides.
    I got a little bit bored of looking around for the only piece of wall you could put a portal on high up on the corner of a ledge somewhere. I didn't like Cave Johnson's lines as much as glados. I felt like Glados was a much more believable character, especially since it's a robot - the insights into it's thinking was very interesting. I though Cave was just waaay over the top and totally ridiculous. But maybe I'm just taking it too seriously.

    I was also a little disappointed when the game finished to not find "advanced levels" like you did on portal1. We got a taste of the new game dynamics and only started to see clever combinations of them appearing over the last few test chambers. I felt portal1 had some a really good set of the last few lengthy chambers which took a while to solve.

    Maybe I just got lucky but I felt that I didn't really have many revelations over the last few chambers in portal2. It was more of a "this is what I need to do, and this is what I have, ok I see how to do it." Sometimes realising how to complete it took a while, but there was never any ambiguity. It seemed too rigid to me, like there is only one way to solve the level and it involves using set pieces in a specific fashion. I felt portal1 had slightly more flexibility. Perhaps this is just a product of the new gameplay elements.

    I've just finished it... And oh dear lord...

    I've never had so much fun with a game! I think it's the first one in a while where the adrenaline has kicked it when trying to complete something without dieing!

    I'm not sure what you're implying... the orange box was released on those platforms too.

    I have just completed it today woot! The ending is out of this world!

    I would agree as to the fact there is only really one solution for each level. The main thing I disliked is that almost every time I thought I had done something clever it turned out that was actually the only way to go. On portal it felt more like you were discoving things you weren't meant to discover!

    I'm wondering how long it'll be before we start seeing decent P2 mods. Those test chambers can't have been easy to design, given the new gameplay tools.

    Just finished the game and enjoyed it as much as Portal 1. It's one of the few games with a single player campaign/storyline that i've actually bothered to finish in the last couple of years.
