Well, that explains the need for a different ending video. If they want to make another game in the same vein as the first, they're going to need to send you back into a highly controlled enclosed environment - i.e., that robot's going to drag you back into Aperture's facilities, and not allow you to free-roam outside. I wonder if they could make it work outside at least partially, though - that's an interesting proposition.
The drattman / h0nee login produced some .ATF files. Logging in with the backup/backup user/pass yielded a BASIC program to show them. Produces 2 screens: Looks like the ARG is over.
im not sure how that would work exacly, perhaps its a big welldone to the many people who worked together to crack it?
Well, they've constantly evolved the Source engine over time. HL2EP2 had a big overhaul, then L4D2. I'm guessing we'll see the next iteration with Portal 2 (and probably see it used for HL2EP3 once it comes out somewhere around the end of the world). Maybe including DX11 support? Twould definitely make me upgrade to a 5xxx series card
Still surprised at how few people have the 'Transmission Received' achievement on Steam (I has it \o/ ). Though the 2nd radio in Test Chamber 15 took me about as long to get to as the other 25 combined
I did start looking for them yesterday, however didn't have much luck - found out later you need to have completed it once (and got the heartbreaker achievement) before the radio's will work. I'd completed it on the 360's version of the Orange box but not the PC version. Now all I need to do is figure out exactly what I need to do with the radios...
pick it up and walk around the map with it until you get the signal, the light will turn green and you can move on.
^This. As soon as you hear static you know you're going the right way. Some are pretty obscure though (as you'd expect). I found most by randomly making portals everywhere and sticking the radio through to see if it did anything!
Not only has all this recent Portal activity played havoc with my mind, (I tried to get to the kitchen using portals the other night as I was tired and thought it'd be easier to just fire one through the bannisters into the hall rather than using the stairs) it's got me into using Hama/Perler Beads again: That will be a pendant and two earrings when I find where my findings(!) are hiding (they're actually smaller than they look in the photo. They're about an inch high, using mini Hama beads).
Cheers! My plan is to wear them. If you check out the Bead Sprite community there are some staggering pics made with them. A few of the SA forumites are pretty damn talented at it.
