Well i've been planning this for a while and have only just got down to actually planning this right now ive got a simple cutting "mod" done however im also looking at a recolour using spray paint / powdercoating varying on money. The following are pretty bad models if im honest however its all they need to be and recolouring ideas will come later along with possible suggestions from you if your all kind . The case ive got right now is the Coolermaster Elite 330 (silver trim on front, no window)and for the mod is a simple window then a fan mount on top of the case aswell as cutting out the rear one to be replaced with fan grills. I know the tools needed for this (drill, jigsaw, dremmel styled tool, glasses and gloves) so they aren't a issue however im open to ideas for possible advancements with it. Anyway onto the models ive made right now i have 2 ideas and then an overall styled model (non textured) One is more advanced stages of a mockup right now and as ive just started using 3DS really nothing like wiring etc. is in right now just basic shapes to represent areas. Anwyay Idea 1 - Aka Simple Wedge (or possibly a flipped wedge in top area.. not too sure) Idea 2 - Aka Simple wedge with a port hole styled item to look in near DVD drives (not 100% sure on this) As said these ideas are always open to suggestions and starting point would probs be end of next month through easter break. This is where im up to for Overall Design incase anyone is wondering whilst running with Idea 1. Ok this is the "final" i have so far using basic colours instead of doing it all fancy for now. but that will come along with possible planning for a colour scheme as said.. Sorry in advance if images are large and one more thing, for colour schemes i was thinking of a all black outside with White mesh drive covers to give it a vocal point or all black with a red drive cover every other drive bay but as with other ideas this is open to suggestions.
Ok, 3rd image looks pretty good. How about mesh on the cut side panel? As for color, all black or black + wine like red.
Mesh sounds good, Im getting free clear acrylic (2 ft x 2ft) from my dad early next month so that was the original plan but ill try and do a mock up with mesh aswell as "clear acrylic" (will look more like glass). And as for the colour scheme idea that sounds good, I know for sure i want to re colour the front to all black and the same for insides. Later today if I have some free time I'll add onto the models with those ideas
