hi guys, just wondering about a possible sli combination.

ive currently got an oc/ed geforce 8800 (512mb) gts installed. would it be possible to install say a 9800gt aswell, as they're both the g92 chip? has anyone tried this at all. i play games at 1680*1050. even if it did work would it make much difference to performance. im thinking more for the future here.

    cheers guys!

No, they both need to be the same model, brand doesn't matter. For sli they need to be same chipset, same ram, and same model. So basically, only 512 8800 gts's can be put together, you can't mix and match them with other models with less video ram.
