I was thinking along the lines that you may have double posted a few times not realising that they had to be moderator approved first.
I've never double posted, when I had less than 10 posts, I would always wait for my posts to get approved by the mods. I've posted some images to show what I mean, you can see that I have made altogether 17 posts However it shows 21 posts
I was surprised when I found my old log in for bit-tech that I only had 5 posts. I think a lot must have disappeared with CPC - I have so much more from the same period at OC3D Did the post counts from CPC not carry over? I have been away for some time
At the time of the merge the mods were happy to manually carry over CPC post counts, but that was a looong time ago now.
I'm just pretty sure I had more when than 5 after they were merged. I was wondering if the posts on the CPC section disappeared. 5 posts sounds unnaturally low, I'm not exactly a spambot but even so ... (As perspective I had about 180 posts at OC3D in the same period and I seem to remember posting on both forums)
Well if you click on your username to the left and then "Find more posts by tiger-moth", you can see your post history. I'd be surprised if a mod/admin had deleted a bunch of your old posts in all honesty.
I think I must have lost them when the forums merged Didn't know that shortcut to post history, cheers.
No problem. However the forums never merged, Dennis just closed the CPC forum down and told everyone to register here instead. Any post count manipulation was literally just mods manually amending the post counts if requested - no actual posts were ported across.
Ah, I see. I thought there was a magazine article thread here? Or was that just at CPC? That would be my confusion. Cheers
There certainly was, but it was canned some time ago when Dennis sold the site to its current owners and the link to the mag was lost. Although several of the site's writers also contribute to CPC as freelancers.
