Pretty sure one of these will be making an appearance: We have also had a voucher from most of the immediate family for a short (and very much needed) holiday.
Haven't opened anything from other people in advance of Christmas, but I did buy myself a couple of presents mid to late November: Lenovo Yoga 10 HD+ Dremel 4000 (this one just arrived yesterday, so there'll be a free Dremel 300 on the market after the holidays) And bought by my neighbour who somehow knows what pens I use... Refills for my fountain pen Mystery Black and Irish Green.
So far I've gotten my 2nd gen Moto G a month ago as an early gift from my parents. I'll find out the rest in a couple days.
I've been hanging my nose over it for ages but there has always been something else that needed my monetary attention. Pretty sure that my wife has gone and bought it for me along with the tiny version as well. I think it may have to go and keep R2D2 company by the fireplace when its built.
I've got the UCS R2-D2 sitting boxed for a time when I have space to build him. Though I did just build the Sandcrawler, which now has to live on my desk due to the aforementioned lack of space :/
I bought myself a new router, loads of stuff for Mrs bear. As for me, I'll find out in about 36 hours, not expecting much this year though
My wife bought me that set earlier this year. It's a fun build, and proudly decorates the media PC next to the TV. The bonus was a miniature Lego MINI that came as a free gift with the purchase!
The most important thing for me this Christmas, isn't piles of presents, it's being with the lovely woman who is my partner of 14 years.
I asked for only a game but my wife bought more. Far Cry 4 (XBone) Hubsan X4 Quadcopter Coffee Syrups Marc de Champagne Truffles Lamy Joy Italic Pen What If? Book (by xkcd) Also had Dragonage Inquisition from the parents.
As usual I got what I would consider more than I need, but I'm thankful for it all the same. Also, I'm comforted to see that I'm not the only one who is reliving the childhood pleasure of Lego at Christmas - just built this, and what an experience! And this will be adorning my workspace just to the right of my main monitor. It's a beauty!
Hooded top from the in-laws (2 sizes too small when done up but as loosing weight next year won't be a problem) Book which I can't remember the name of, but I know there was a movie based on it called the Golden Compass, from Donna to get me reading again. She's read It before and says it awesome. WD My Passport Ultra 2 TB blue, absolutely over the moon with it Warm fleece style jacket which is awesome, keeps the cold out, and have actually had to unzip the thing its been that warm ! 007 Aftershave as my last lot ran out. £60 from my parents, but that is £30 each as its for me and Donna. Chocolate, which we were rather short of. Friends and family must think we like a drink or something, lots of wine and Vodka Got Donna a new mouse for her laptop as she's worn her old one out and the full set of Game of Thrones books, which she has finished with them I'll be having a read of too
I got £50 from my gran. And nothing else. All of our resources went on Grace this year, she got a mighty haul, but I suspect that presents for a 3 year old girl won't rouse much interest on this particular forum, so I'll refrain from listing it all!
Lubitel 166 camera with some 120 B&W film and a digital radiation detector to go with my Cold War era Geiger Counter.
