Yep, that's Conky. And not only does it look cool, it's usefull ;) and unlike Samurize or any other system monitors out there also very light (1-3% CPU on my system, with a huge varable conky config)

Hmmm, I wonder if I'll be able to get it going under Fedora/Red Hat. :D

Samurize is light: 3-6% depending on what trickery you do. Graphic-heavy plug-ins (custom-made analog dials made by rotating .jpg images, for instance) can push up the load a bit, but otherwise even a very big config comes in at about 3%.

But I am talking on my system... In 'rest' my CPU throttles to 600MHz, and then it's only 3%, at full speed it's 1%.

I used Samurize when I was on Windows, and it was a lot heavier... But I reckon that's due to the nature... Conky config == Plain txt file, Samurize is a more graphical thing...

here is my conky config file if you want it. With conky, you can display almost everything if you know how. The man page is almost complete for that, but there is few hidden feature/newer than man page and it is possible to use some hack do display other things (using the file monitor and few bash/c/c++ script/simple apps)

Conky is the system monitor at the top.

Couldn't get conky compiled on Fedora. Didn't have the time available to do it, so I gave up (for now). I'll try again at the weekend.
