Windows Post your sites/software (tools, utilities, calcs so on)

Ok so here is the deal. I would love to have a great index of useful sites/software.

Post what you have, what you use and what you use the most often. There are so many instances that I have wished I had something like this to bounce off for information. That obscure utility that does what I need - after 2 hours of looking.

So basic rules:
1. Please read the list, do not double post a link/app that is already listed
2. Provide a small description
3. Link to app/site with friendly links (no super long htp://mysuperlongsitethatisthislongisannoyingtousebecauseitssostupidlylong.com)
4. Try to list the site/app as to what it is for. (Tool/app/site/video app, and so on)

I will do my best to compile and organize the sites based on the above.

Incredibly useful if you reimage your computer often - select your favoite free software from a list. it compiles installers and installs them for you.

Format Factory

This software can convert video and audio files to pretty much any kind of format possible. It has 'profiles' that are very useful. For example if you have an iPod or an iPhone, you can simply convert the video to iPhone format and Format Factory makes sure the right resolution and codecs are used

I personally use it to convert videos to my Zune in mp4 and it works great. The only problem I have is with huge files (720p 6-8GB videos). The image quality itself is perfect but the video is not quite fluid... This has only happened with huge files however

SpaceTornado Renamer

Okay the name is ugly and the software is home made and has a few flaws BUT if you want to rename thousands of files at once with multiple steps and don't want to bother writing a vb script then this is for you. It can remove, replace and add text as well as change the first letter of words to Capital letters

Coral Passwords

I use this to store all my cdkeys and passwords. It's a small utility that encrypts whatever (text) data you put in it. Quite useful if you want to feel safe(r)
