    This internet is getting ridiculous in the evening.

    Just took me about 5 minutes to load the page and run the test.

    In the morning/afternoon I get 3.3 down and 54ms ping.

    I think it might be because the line attenuation is 58db and the SNR is 6db!!!!!!!!!
    Stupid thing, I know why its like this too, the little green box at the end of the street is soooo old, it leaks water, and is knackered, the BT people have said this, the wiring diagrams don't even match up, as when it got repaired a while ago, everyone got the wrong number as it had been wired up incorrectly.
    But due to living in the middle of nowhere'ish, I very much doubt if BT will bother to do anything in the next generation.

    Very much depends on the time of day- after midnight it may reach 8Mb/s download, during the day closer to 2 or 3..

    APPARENTLY CHROME WILL FIX MY INTERNET.

    Nope. It's slower than FF Beta 3.6.7 for me.

    Hopefully we get bumped to 2meg soon. I don't know why people complain about 2meg. For a glorious time I had 2meg, and I downloaded L4D2 and it was good.

    Then it got unstable and we were capped. Hey ho.

    The Uni residence I live at its £300 (1 year) for '20' Mb uncapped connection. My sustained download speeds range from 2.7 to 5.2MB in steam, 2.6GB game takes about 10 minutes at those speeds...

    Edit: just started downloading Empire Total War in Steam, hit 9.4MB/s!! I don't want to go home for the summer now :p
