Ping's a bit high for the local exchange isn't it?

    Esp compared with Virgin 50Mb:

Upload is quite nice though with BT by the looks of things.

EDIT: ah - not the local exchange at ~150 miles away...

Also tested my Three connection on my SGSII, turns out it's not bad at all speed-wise. Might have to get a mobile Speedtest scores thread going...

    From work :

I just don't understand why they think my IP is located in AT. Have to look at that.

Just had BT Infinity (FTTP) installed today....

Previously, the best I could get was 1.7Mb/s with Sky. The difference is unbelievable!! :jawdrop:

I have a 100Mb 5 port switch (an old Linksys model) which my main and second pc's connect and share the broadband through (my BT Hub is downstairs, both pc's upstairs with single cat-6 ethernet cable linking the Hub and switch). I just disconnected the switch and plugged the ethernet cable running from the Hub direct into my main pc and the performance jumped up to:

Could the switch be causing the drop? Average speeds on most severs in the UK (I tried Germany and Holland too) is about 85Mb/s. There was also a difference after 12am as presumably less traffic, but none got anywhere near breaking the 100Mb mark.

Finally figured out how to get my phone results as an image!

I got this standing on a train station platform, very impressed!

Home internet is fine but it's a far cry from my old Virgin 50Mb, I miss it...

Speedtest just started on a local server. Results:

Nearly forgot. I'm on the 30Mb service with Virgin Media. "Up to"? I think not.

30Mb package. Should test again off-peak. Only posting this because of the download speed :cooldude:
