Never understood why VM are so stingy with upload. 5Mb on a 105Mb connection is criminal.
Everyone on 100meg will soon be on 120/12 if they aren't already.
Saying that, I'd rather have something like 60/60.
It's because of the platform they use for the broadband, I am sure if they could provide 1:1 on the same platform they would but the platform they use limites it to 10:1.
Here's my 120Mb connection today.
Reboot your router

Your not alone, although I don't like using the speedtest.net site anymore since most of the servers they use are flaky at best.
Here is my dads at the moment, but it's STM'd
Instead I now use the Thinkbroadband speed tester.
Will go and jump on mine and give it a test.
Well I'm up to a more respectable 60Mb/s now. Must have been a problem earlier as it was dog slow on any site.
Well I had a BT engineer here for about 3.5 hours today, he discovered that our line was limited by BT to 11mb and the previous openreach engineer had attached the modem to a spur as opposed to the mainline, hence the drop to 9mb.
He has rewired the set up and requested the cap be removed, so we should hit somewhere around 20meg in a day or two.
You should definitely be getting more than 15mb as below that BT technically class it as a fault - enjoy the extra speed!
Not sure what I pay, but I believe that is the result I should be expecting...
This is one aspect of work I wish I could take home with me
Just moved from wireless connection to Cat 5e, wish I had done it sooner
Fresh BT Infinity Install
got to be fake? right
