Yeah, they run, but definitely not at those speeds. Max I ever got was 1.5Mb/s, no more.

    Some oddness here.

I do a ping test, and get this...

Happy with that, but when I do a speed test on the same server...

What gives? Which do I believe?

Should be at 25/2, download is down just a little, upload is up a bit

Right..... I've come to the conclusion that speedtest.net is utter crap. It consistently gives me ping times of over 500ms when running a speed test.... but...

Why are we even using such a flaky site?

Pookyhead, try a different server, and see if your results are different. Could be the server is under a bit of load. Only other thing I can think of is if youre using some browser/OS combo that struggles with Flash it could affect it a little, but not by much. I get a 10ms difference and 2mb download difference between Safari and Firefox when I do my tests.

Try Speakesy.net/speedtest and run the Washington DC Server, see if that makes any difference.

Speakeasy will only let me run UK based speedtests.

I've tried loads of servers on SPeedtest.net, and they all give me over 500ms ping times when running the speedtest, but all low ping times when running the ping test.

    From Internet Explorer

Hurrah for me, perfectly fine speeds, sadly the wiring in my house is utter shite.

Not bad, I'm suppose to get 10mbps download/1mbps upload, so I guess that's spot on for the most part.

Would prefer a higher upload, but would need to move up a tier for that!
