Graphics Post your Video Card (pics) Thread!

Before uploading it to the hosting website... load the picture into a graphics program such as:

IrfanView (FREE!)
Picasa (FREE! By Google!)
FastStone Image Viewer (FREE for home users!)


The hosting website should also offer you a link to a clickable thumbnail version, which will expand to the full size picture when you click it?

 

i had my pc in pieces today. so i thought i would get some pics of my gfx card.



its a x550. with a thermaltake silent vga cooler. pretty big. turns it into a 3 slot cooler!!!

 

lol. that last post was mine. and today i got a new gfx card!!! so new pics

bigz has got a lot o video cards, I have 2, well 4 cause i have another system, but crossfire with 2 X1900XTX'S in crossfire.

And it's not some rip-off brand, it's made by Thermaltake.

 

sorry to burst your bubble, but thermaltake are pretty much the bottom of the barrel when it comes to water cooling. you'd be better off with a top end air cooler like a thermalright XP120 or (unusually, thermaltake have produced an excellent heatsink) a thermaltake big typhoon. Better yet, go for a DIY water setup. You'll find lots of help in the extreme cooling forum if you want to put something together

 

Took a quick picture of my card last night whilst I was checking temps just peeled back the cover and took it, sorry about the angle but its the best I could do, the image shown on screeen on my phone when taking the pic cuts off about 40% of it from each side I wasnt expecting the PSU to be in there and its bright LED fan didnt help the quality as my phone tries to adjust the picture but is just terrible at it.

Any way onto the card, tis a Sapphire X1800 GTO, not sure how it performs as I havnt even got windows onto this PC yet but it was priced within my small budget so I went for it.

Well here's my X1800 XT 256, currently chugging along @ 725/1840

 

I took the generic cooler off and while I was there, took a photo..



A few minutes fiddling later, came up with this..




The v900cu is surprisingly easy to install. Thinking about it, the default cooler was also the easiest heatsink I've taken off! No faffing around around with needle-nose pliers, scaring myself sh*tless in case I slipped. Now idles around 5c lower and doesn't get as toasty, but it's a damn site quieter

 

Added an XFX 7900GT to pair up with the EVGA. Excuse the filthy pipes, need to give it all a clean
