Power Adapter

I'm not sure where to put this as its not directly related to anything...

My netgear ADSL router's plug just died and I have no way of using it without getting an 18v adapter of the same design (same round fitting).

does anyone know where I can get this? I can only find 12v adapters.

 

Sounds like you need a laptop power supply (there the only one I know that do 18v).

Maplin sell replacment 18v lappy power supplys for about £20 I think.

 

Ring netgear UK? Probably won't cost a fat lot

 

Maplin do an 18v PSU (1.1A and 2.1mm Plug) , but its while stocks so I dont know how much longer we'll have em in stock.

I'd take the adapter into your local maplins and find the clever bod who's normally hiding out back to find a suitable one

I've seen they have multiple voltage and multiple connector ones in there when browsing so there is bound to be one cheap.

Though rtt's idea of contacting netgear uk maybe worth a try first just in case they send one out for free

 

I did, they emailed me a FEDEX stamp thing. then I sent the plug. that was approx 2 months ago.

 

then get back on the fone and complain your arse off! the ball is in your 1/2 of the court mate
