    For what?

I've not tested the GTX 480 in modern titles but the last time I owned two of them they kicked ass. I did separate them and put one under a Kuhler 620 and from memory in 3dmark 11 I was hitting 7970 speeds (ED - scores, not speeds..) easily (960mhz on the core, you've got no chance on air).

In BF3 it had enough vram, just. Nvidia suggest 1.5gb to prevent texture streaming. I used the SLI pair for 3D and again, pretty much more than enough grunt.

It won't be long before I'm benching the 480 Lightning that arrived with me today, so keep an eye out. Well, that's so long as I don't have any more crap luck.

Assuming you mean GPU/processor power, Andy's got you covered above!

However, if you mean actual amperage to drive the components, 770W should be fine :)

Oh poo LOL sorry mate I thought you meant gaming grunt.

I ran SLI 480s and a horrid insolent I7 950 @ 4ghz (it used to hit 90c and needed a pig load of volts) from a 800w Cougar.

Nvidia recommend 600w so yeah, you're laughing me old cocker.

The CPU will use 250w in the absolute worst case scenario.

TBH mate I reakon that my I7 used to do 200w. Even stock it was 130w, the same as a 8320.

My friend used to run an overclocked 955 and a 4870x2 without a problem

The old all Hiper psu's are crap because the Type 580w type R's had a bad batch argument.

I have a 880w Type R (recommended by Johny Guru by the way) and been running for many hours a day for the last 4 years and is presently running my 2500K and a GTX670, also have a 580w type R thats been going even longer but has now been retired as a test psu.

So far the only PSU I have had go bang was a corsair. (touch wood)

Well I took apart that Silver Power 600w PSU earlier to break it for scrap.

The button on the back was welded on and the fuse (glass) had literally exploded. Not like, blown but exploded and tiny shards of glass everywhere.

think my psu might roll over and die if I get another one - although they are getting quite cheap now

Just got the news, Harlequin died of death.
Forensics reported that the PSU spontaneously imploded and tuck out the entire street.

Hmm. How do you have them spaced dude? Get them as far apart as you can.. If your SLI bridge doesn't reach then I have one you can have for £2 (I paid £6 plus postage for it) it's ridiculously long....

Get Afterburner on there and get them fans cranking :D
