I have a 620watt Corsair PSU right now
im purchasing a 3870x2 next week, then early next month another one
was wondering... since it says 750watts for CrossfireX, that might kinda cut it
would an 800 watt work well? i want to OC it but not by much
    around 75-100mhz core, and 100+ mem/shader
also wondering, since i have 32bit vista ultimate
would i have to upgrade to the 64 bit ? i have an OEM 32bit only one
    from college (29$)
since i got 4gigs of ram, i heard i'd have to switch to 64bit to get 100% out of video/sys ram..
    is this true?

hey i think 800 watt would be fine. for 4GB of ram you need to have 64 bit otherwise it only sees 3gb or somthing like that i have 64 bit ultimate myself with 4 gb of pc8500 mushkin ram and it works realy fine.
good luck with the new grafics you are going to buy.

You have 30" screen? tbh I don't see no reason to go overboard with two 3870X2 unless you are willing to play on HUGE resolution, one of those things should be enough for a 24" or under.. Unless ofcourse you happen to play Crysis, but seeing it doesn't run properly on any setup, I wouldn't bother for it either :p

An overclocked 2900XT Crossfire + 100+ W processor take a bit over 600 watts from the grid, so 800 W should be enough.

a single 3870x2 should be fine with all games, it's faster than 8800GTX, lol.

but for dual setup, try the Corsair Tx750w

Yeah if you like playing 3dmark. In actual games it really can't be called "faster than 8800GTX", not even with lol, as those two cards are pretty even.

    :O me wants the Hx1kw.

wow, Corsair is really into this PSU business.

3870x2 is a benchmarker's card, in all benchmarks, it's faster than 8800GTX. but if you consider real gameplay, you might get less minimum FPS than the GTX, as Bittech's review showed.

ATI has better visual quality, im using an 8800gts and can tell
ive used nvidia and ati for along time
    5200ultra mx cars etc, then radeon 9000, 9200, 9700 and 9800
i'd rather go for visual image quality that FPS.

You shouldn't need such a power supply for one 3870X2. You might consider a 750-800 for a Crossfire setup, should you actually need it.
