    Hi all,

With my new rheobus and Aero7+ coming tomorrow in an effort to make my box less god damn noisy, I've had an idea. By chopping the power suppies fan wires, and soldering extensions that run out the power supply with a molex on the end, I could control the speed on the power supply fan, using said rheobus.

Is this safe/feasable ? I know you need air flow round the supply, but surely knocking it down to about 7V wouldn't hurt non?

    Cheers !

Affirmative, you can do that. Normally the PSU fan is already temperature controlled. Running the stock fan at 7volts should be enough cooling.
Alternative is to swap the stock PSU fan with a silent one.

Cheers dude, I'm pretty sure mines not temp controlled.. sounds like an aircraft taking off 24/7.

Thinking about it sticking an evercool in there couldn't hurt either... hmm.
