Hi guys, I'm new. I just received my Antec Truepower 2.0 550W psu yesterday, which is going in my soon to be built brand spankin new PC (finally) I hooked it up to my old AMD Athlon PC, and the system powered up, which is good However, the fan in the PSU did not spin. Is this because it wasn't hot enough to start spinning? I don't need to plug that fan into the Mobo do I? (seems kinda silly) I only tested for about a minute, should I check again? thanks for the help.
It probably switches on when needed, nost decent supplies do. One minute on a serious rig will not usually be enough, so in your current rig, you'll probably hardly ever see the fans on.
