    Hi guys, I'm new.

I just received my Antec Truepower 2.0 550W psu yesterday, which is going in my soon to be built brand spankin new PC (finally)

I hooked it up to my old AMD Athlon PC, and the system powered up, which is good :)

However, the fan in the PSU did not spin. Is this because it wasn't hot enough to start spinning? I don't need to plug that fan into the Mobo do I? (seems kinda silly)

I only tested for about a minute, should I check again?

    thanks for the help.

It probably switches on when needed, nost decent supplies do. One minute on a serious rig will not usually be enough, so in your current rig, you'll probably hardly ever see the fans on.
