    Yes that's right. Yesterday code red was announced. It's so hot here in the Netherlands that electricity companies hardly have any water to cool their generators with. Also, with the little bit of wind we have, the mills stopped turning. So we're running out of juice and the companies cant cool their stuff. So they go warning us that during the night and early morning there may be power surges ALL OVER THE COUNTRY! Well, that's great. National television advised us to turn off all electrical appliances.

    =============================================

    There I go, checking everything. My stereo, my other stereo, my laptop, my server, my clockradio, my television.... my router! And that's when I find out I lost the darn key of my router somewhere in te mess on my desk. So I start looking around my desk, but I cant find the darn thing. That's when I decide I will leave the router on, because if I will just unplug the power cord, I will never be able to boot it up again in the morning. So, leaving it on, I go to bed in agony, hoping everything will be ok. So this morning I woke up and checked on my router... it was still working! I guess I must have been pretty darn lucky. When I come home from work this afternoon I'll clean out my desk, because I sure don't want my stuff to die.

    (P.S. How much does a power surge protector cost?)
