Modding power switch

    Hi guys

    A friend of mine has broken his power switch on his case and needs a new 1
    it looks like a normal switch ie from for example a lian li case see images

    leading to the mobo connection like this

    can he buy 1 from somewhere in the uk? dont think he will be able to make it tbh, but if there are maplins codes fro them then pls provide and ill forward them to him

    if his case has a reset button he could move that to the other button spot and hook it up to the power buttons mobo connection. nobody uses reset buttons, so he wont have to spend money and will have a working button.

    Other than the reset button idea, if you wish to keep it... you should look for a push to make non-locking switch (Maplins page 884), and solder that up to the old power button's wires. :thumb:

    you can even buy them from maplins with the cables attached to make it even easier
    :)
