I read it this morning on The inq' and waited to see if anyone beat me to the punch but it looks like that hasnt happened so here we go.
    linkey

Bassically (for those who cant be assed to read) there will soon be plugin cards that sole job is to render physics for games and what not. Bit like a sound card is dedicated to producing sound. This card will ether be PCIe or PCI although i would suspect that the "higer" end models of the card will work better on PCIe as the bandwidth is much greater.
I personally like the idea of a "physics processing unit" although it will be another thing to buy for top rated gaming. When i first read about them it reminded me of how you used to have to buy seperate "math processers" (back in the day).
    Ideas, feelings ppl?
