Hey guys! I am so annoyed by the noise of my pc, that I have decided to make it passively cooled. Would this setup be okay? Thermalright IFX-14 for my Phenom X3 8650 CPU. Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev. 2 for my Asus HD4850 1gb. And then for **** 'n' giggles, a 1 tb Samsung F1 Spinpoint All of this placed in my Raven RV01 case, and then removing every one of the case fans, to really use the thermal principles the case was designed for.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=douRh490E3I Have a look at this video, and tell me again that it will not work. That is a system far more sophisticated than mine. And if it does not work, I will just have to keep the 2 180mm fans in the bottom. They do not make any kind of hearable noise anyways.
Well, it is designed to be run fanless, but if that does not work, I will put in the two 180 mm's, even though the brag effect of having a totally fanless computer then is nonexistent
i love the case looks and the design but in practice i dont think it will be that affective(i think cpc did a review and they didnt rate it that high.). I have problems keeping my system cool and i have 6x120mm fans running. In thoery the case should work but i recon a few fansstrategiaclly placed will definatly improve the air flow. Just get some really quiet ones.
