    hey guys

just wanted to ask, when modding say cutting a window how do you guys prevent scratches where you turn the panel so its easier for you to cut when on a bench?

I find that even with masking tape there are subtle scratches, any reccomendations?

I guess paper and masking tape would be sufficient?

Might be a state the ovbious question, but if you guys got some common sense asnwer that I seem to let go completley over my head then by all means let me know :D.

tape the whole thing. not just the spot you are cutting.

or be more careful and clean off the junk.

Don't wipe the panel - you'll just scrape tiny pieces of swarf around the panel, scratching up the panel like sandpaper would.

I use compressed air to clear away the filings, but a vacuum also works.

Yep agreed with all of the above. What I tend to do also with masking tape is to use a cloth to press down and rub the tape so it sticks properly and takes all the bubbles out.
