They don't. The lanes for powering the Sata 6gb/sec and USB 3 can be only PCIe derived; considering that you would have to CUT back on THE ONLY x16 lane (for graphic) to achieve a functioning state of this.... Well, here I was many times accused of not loving enough the i5 concept, so I'm not going further.
