cpu-world.com have published prices of Ivy Bridge processors. It looks like bulk purchase pricing will be roughly the same as it is for the Sandy Bridge cpus each new processor replaces (this has been speculated before, but we now have actual pricing).

    I look forward to testing a 3770K against the 2700K I currently have :)

Ooohhh… Can't wait. Although my £1300 build will be put back after forking out £3000 on the dog.

But yay, IB possibly being affordable and maybe new NV GFX? Awesome. ;D

    Nice news +

    my next upgrade...

would have loved to have seen the same power requirements as the sandybridge cpu's...meaning a higher performance threshhold, but still a good deal...

Hmm, well I already have a 2500k. :( I guess no upgrading, but then again a drop of ~20w isn't justifiable. Unless of course they can be OC'ed to +5. I mean i already have the 2500K at 4.4Ghz with zero effort as it is.

be interesting to see exactly how much if at all they oc compared to sb...and of course the gap gets wider the higher the oc in terms of raw numbers...very excited about this tri-gate technology personally though

I wonder how many people will upgrade from Sandy for this. I think Ivy will be a great move for laptops, apparently the IGPU is going to be the biggest improvement. Not so great for PC gamers not using it anyway.
