    Afternoon,

I am just putting together my first watercooling build and have now got the stage where it is built outside the case and just need to test. Now a friend recomended PrimoChill ICE as it is non conductive and thereofre goof for a first timer. Is it any good or shoudl I avoid using it?

Non conductive is a con really, as most are only non conductive for a limited time (usuakky 5 minutes) as any dust or other particles they pick up makes them conductive. I've had components that were covered in water, just left them to dry for 34 hours, worked perfectly. As long as you don't have the system powered on all will be ok :)

I use Halfords Deionised water, works perfectly well and is about a £5.

Have you read my thread? (link in sig)

No real reason to avoid it but equally no real reason to use it either...

The ideal fluid is plain distilled water, but alot of people (even experts like Pete here) seem to use de-ionised water without issue. Some silver kill coil or PT Nuke can't hurt either.

I only used deionised as distilled was a hassle to obtain but Halfords was offering free shipping. Works perfectly well with no issues, so jobs a good'en :) I use a Silver Coil in mine, costs about a fiver :)
