I am trying to burn about 65 .WAV files to CD (perfectly legal, they're scary bird sounds to be used at the office Halloween party to scare people when they walk in the front door). The total play time only comes to about eleven minutes. A few won't burn because they are less than ten seconds long. However, the majority are around 15 - 30 secs long and show no errors when scanned prior to attempted burning. I have tried Roxio, WMP and Real. I'm on my third CD-R. I keep getting error messages that claim that my CD's have errors, but these are brand new. Any suggestions? I guess I could hide behind the door and when people come in I'd jump out, wave my arms and quack at them...

I do have the right drivers installed. I haven't changed anything as far as that goes since I got the PC brand new a couple of months ago. I have no problem burning any other types of files. For instance, I can still do a straight CD-to-CD copy and use the DirectCD Format utility. I only have a problem with .WAV files. Although the disks are white...

The temporary workaround was to install speakers on the ancient PC by the door and load the files into WMP (it'll play them, just not burn them). I have them shuffling and repeating.

I'll give nero and cdrwin a try. Thanks.
