Windows problem that is seriously annoying me

    ok every time i downlaod a vid it plays it in distorted multicolour in any player like real,wmv,power DVD etc...please help. Ice

    if it only happens in movies and not in games and such it might be a bad codec...as for the fix...errr sorry im a hardware/network guy, software has always been my weak link

    I have read somewhere that installing Power DVD can mess up your existing codecs.

    I looked up this stuff before I bought WinDVD.

    I reccomend downloading a codec pack so that way its fixes the possibly messed up one and you get alot more new codecs.

    This used to happen to me, it ended up being an old version of pewerdvd on a new box, if your version is outdated the codecs get messed up. I suggest uninstalling it and seing what happens then.
