When GTA Vice City, it always crashes after a specific amount of time.

Running Windows 2003 Server (converted to workstation)
    P4 2.4B @ 2.8 (Watercooled)
256MB DDR333 Crucial (Slower than stock)
    Abit Siluro FX5200

I think it might be the graphics card. Its passively cooled with the stock Abit heatsink. And the heatsink even during normal running gets really HOT as in you cant keep your finger on it for more than 2-3 seconds.

    Any suggestions ?

Unhandled exception error? Everyone I know (including me) seems to be getting these after installing the latest MultiTheftAuto.

It does sound a lot like your graphics card is overheating.

I had this problem with all of my 3D games. The game crashed but the audio kept playing and I had to reset it. Turned out it was because I had the FSB at 200mhz. It was fine in windows but crashed after a few mins in games.

SO you had a low multiplier and a high FSB set for your proc? I'm gonna try underclocking both my prac and the card and see what that does, THANKS! :thumb:

i found that setting my ram timings back to the corsair spec's kept me from getting UE's in Tribes2 ...

i had cranked it down to CL to 2, when i went back to 2.5 all was well ...
