I have just bought and installed an Nvidia 7900GT. It has been installed correctly. First I removed my old ATI x600XT card from the device driver list; the uninstall program gave an error when I tried to run it. Then I installed the card, connected the two powercables and the monitor cable and lastly installed fresh drivers from Nvidias site.

The problem is that the screen is red/purple. And two times it has flickered wildly. I have tried to run color correction guide and color quality is set to the highest. I have also tried to adjust the temperature on my monitor, but that didn't help. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Make sure that the video cable is connected securely at both the video card and monitor ends. Also use a program such as Driver Cleaner (Google it) to completely clean all drivers from the system before reinstalling a fresh copy of the latest version from NVIDIA's website.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have narrowed down the problem; the green channel is gone. Before it was both the blue and the green channel that was gone, but after checking the cables the blue has shown up. I would say that the cables are fine. First, they worked perfectly just an hour ago with my old ATI card, and they also looks fine. No broken pins or anything. But it is suspicious that the blue just showed up...

But anyway, when I try to adjust the green channel under color correction, nothing happens.

if posible try another monitor, maybe one of the cables broke off internaly
if you dont have a spare monitor try your tv, or borrow one from your neighbours/ friends

The problem is, I'm the only one in the entire country without a TV... And my friends have laptops.
But anyway, I have installed the old card again, then I'll haul my computer down to my shop next week and get them to fix it. I'm not much into hardware.

Oh, and the green is showing fine with the old card... ?!

Are you using DVI? I've heard some people getting strange colors when using DVI, but fine when using analog.
